10 needles

Today I was at the doctor. The day ended more or less like this.
First, they checked the blood samples, throat and nasal tests. After a while talking to the doc, he throws at me; cortisone for my throat, a inhaler because my swollen airways then even more nasal spray.
After after a little while they sent me to the ER for an emergency CT scan. At the Universital Hostpital in Örebro (USÖ) To get a 3D picture of my skull and sinuses. - Epic.

After the scan I was sent to the Ear/Nasal/ Throat Department. Where this happened. They wanted to flush out my sinuses. First they applied a spray to numb the needles. Then they put up 10 needles up my nose. (about 1 / 2 cm deep in my nose) Cause the needles had more anesthetic on them. (did not help.)
In order to get a pathway to the sinuses the doc wanted to insert 2 cylinders of plastic so he could reach in and flush them. Didn't really go as planned.. Three major failure in one nostril and one in right before they gave up.
So instead of a tube/cylinder/whatever, they took a injection needle. As they would then flush through. But the sinuses were a little too congested. So it just felt that that they swelled and burst. Not really nice. But in the end they got little bit flushed. Which led to that I coughed up a lot of blood and secretions. About 1dl.

What happened then was that the doctor talked to some colleagues. Then it was decided that I would get there next week and do it all over again.... So they have had time, with the help of medication, become less swollen.
Oh well. Actually the worst day I've been through, hospital-based.
